What can I expect at the Pan African Film & Arts Festival?

This year’s PAFF INSPIRES program will showcase a powerful lineup of over 175+ dynamic films from 40+ countries (including special Spotlight Screenings), informative PAFF Institute panels/workshops, an 11-day Arts Fest featuring 80+ fine artists from all over the world, signature events including the highly anticipated SpokenWord Fest, LOL Comedy Show & Fashion Show, Opening & Closing Night Galas, along with special FREE programming for Students, Children and Seniors, and so much more.

Short films are screened either grouped together or with a feature. All foreign language films are presented with English subtitles. Films are not rated. Parental discretion advised for all films.

Can I use cash to pay for passes, tickets and merchandise at festival venues?

No, all festival venues are cashless this year for all purchases.

How do I obtain physical passes and/or tickets for the festival?

All physical passes can be picked up at festival headquarters starting February 7th (unless otherwise notified).

Times - TBA. Photo ID will be required for pickup. (Note: The office will be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 6th.)

Once individual tickets are released, pass holders will receive instructions on how to reserve advance screening & event tickets online using your Eventive account. Contact us via email at: info@paff.org

What precautions will be made for COVID-19 safe practices?

Any screening/event at PAFF will be honoring all regulations put forth by our local and state governments and public health officials. PAFF will be updating our patrons on our festival policies as CDC guidelines recommendations change.

Parking

There is ample FREE parking available at Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza - our primary screening & event venue.

Attendees may be subject to potential Parking Fees and conditions at other locations.

What are the different pass types I can purchase?

The different festival passes have varying admission privileges. Please review the pass types in detail to understand what each includes:

I have a pass for the festival. How do I RSVP to an event/screening?

Pass holders must obtain tickets to all screenings & events they plan on attending. Depending on your pass type you may have the ability to reserve tickets online in advance. This is done by “purchasing” a ticket to the chosen event. Remember, with the appropriate pass type, your ticket could be free or discounted.

If your pass doesn't include advanced ticketing online, you will need to visit the Onsite Passholder Box Office in the Theater Lobby to obtain a ticket. Review your pass benefits to confirm the process that applies to you.

Is there a pass that will only allow access to the PAFF Institute?

The PAFF Institute is FREE & Open to the public! A pass is not required, however you MUST register online and get a ticket to attend all PAFF INSTITUTE events.

Do I need a pass to attend the festival?

No, individual tickets can be purchased for both in-person screening & events.

There are so many movies, how do I decide what to see?

The festival’s programming team spends months choosing from thousands of films to curate a selection of approximately 175+ films that you can choose from. We have tips for choosing your films:

  • If by showtimes is how you like to choose your films, our powerful new online schedule view is what you want to use. Pick your dates and see which films are available by cinema.
  • Films are grouped by categories using tags, sections, and countries on our online system. Pick an intriguing tag and see the film options. You can also search by keyword including filmmaker names, etc. Click the filter button on the film & event guide.
  • Don't want to forget your fave films? Hit that star button to save/ recall them for later!
  • Only interested in streaming films online? Use the Virtual feature of our film browser.

How much do individual tickets cost?

  • Adult General Admission: $13.50
  • Adult Matinee (first screening of the day): $11
  • Students with ID: $11
  • Seniors (62+): $11
  • Children under 11: $6

Do I need to buy tickets for every member of my party?

For in-person screenings & events, individual tickets are required for ALL attendees (including passholders).

For virtual screenings, only one ticket is required per household.

All ticket sales are final; no refunds or returns.

How do I get my pass or tickets?

When purchasing your pass, and/or ticket, you will be prompted to enter your email address to login or create an account on Eventive. Your pass, and/or ticket information will be emailed to you upon purchase and accessible when you log into your Eventive account. Your tickets will be viewable in the "My Tickets" section of Eventive. You can also download the 2024 PAFF App and access all your passes, and/or tickets as well as the film guide and schedule on your mobile device. Physical passes can be picked up at our festival headquarters. Photo ID will be required for badge pickup.
